Professional Security Installation · Highland, Utah

Security for Highland's
big lots and big homes.

Highland has a 91.7% owner-occupancy rate and a median home value of $928,300 — the kind of property where a porch camera and a sticker in the window aren't a plan. HYVE designs perimeter coverage for half-acre lots, detached shops, and long driveways, with no contracts.

The Highland Problem

More property than
a kit can see.

Highland's lots run large — 8.7 square miles of city with a density of about 2,200 people per square mile, a fraction of neighboring Lehi's. That space is the appeal, and it's the security challenge: long driveways, mature trees that block sightlines, side yards you can't see from the house, detached garages, RV pads, and sometimes horse property.

A DIY camera on the doorbell watches the one approach an intruder won't use. Our Highland designs start at the property line and work inward: the driveway entrance, every gate, each outbuilding, then the house itself.

Where we work in Highland

The neighborhoods around Highland Glen Park and the Highland Town Center, the benches along the Alpine Highway (SR-92) below American Fork Canyon, the lots west toward 6000 West, and the newer subdivisions south toward Cedar Hills and Lehi's north edge.

Big families, many doors

⬡ 37.4% of Highland is under 18

That's a lot of kids coming and going through side doors, garages, and basements. Every HYVE Highland system sensors those entries and gives each family member their own lock code.

How We Cover a Large Lot

Perimeter first,
then the house.

01

Driveway approach

A long-range camera reads vehicles and faces at the drive entrance, so you see the car before it reaches the garage — not just the person at the door.

02

Sides, gates, and fence lines

Each side yard and gate gets a camera with motion-triggered lighting. Mature trees are a sightline problem we solve with placement, not more megapixels.

03

Outbuildings

Detached garages, shops, barns, and RV pads get door contacts and cameras on the same monitored panel — wired, or bridged wirelessly when trenching isn't practical.

04

The house itself

Contacts on every door and reachable window, glass-break sensors on big sliders and walk-out basements, smart locks replacing keyed sets, and a panel with cellular backup.

05

Monitoring and automation

UL-listed 24/7 monitoring verifies and dispatches. Lights, locks, and arming run on schedules and geofences so the system protects the property without you managing it.

Highland FAQ

Highland home security questions.

Do you install security systems in Highland, Utah?+
Yes. HYVE installs cameras, monitored alarms, smart locks, and whole-property surveillance throughout Highland, from the Highland Glen Park area to the benches above the Alpine Highway and the half-acre lots along 6000 West.
How do you cover a half-acre or one-acre lot?+
Highland's large lots need perimeter thinking, not porch cameras. We cover the driveway approach with a long-range camera, each side yard and gate, detached garages and shops, and the back fence line — with lighting tied to motion so night footage is usable.
Can you protect a detached shop, barn, or RV pad?+
Yes. We run power and data to outbuildings or use long-range wireless bridges, and we sensor shop doors and RV gates so they report to the same monitored panel as the house.
Is there a contract?+
No. HYVE never uses contracts. Equipment is financed over 84 months with no upfront cost; monitoring is month-to-month with no cancellation fee.
Can you replace a system installed by a previous owner?+
Often we can reuse wired contacts and sensors already in the walls and upgrade just the panel and cameras. If the previous owner's provider left a contract behind, our free contract review sorts it out.
What about privacy with neighbors on large lots?+
We aim cameras at your approaches and property, set privacy masks over neighboring windows and yards, and walk you through each view before we finish.
How long does a Highland install take?+
Most homes are finished in a single visit of a few hours. Larger estates with multiple outbuildings may be scheduled over two days.
